My research is driven by the desire to better understand the
dynamics of complex systems. I am full professor of mathematics at the Freie Universität Berlin, there head of the BioComputing Group, member of the executive board and co-chair of the DFG Research Center MATHEON, and co-chair of the Berlin Mathematical School in the framework of the German excellence initiative.
